Obama attracts protestor at Jewish holy place
Brisbane News.Net Thursday 24th July, 2008
US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem.
In an unscheduled visit, Obama, placed a prayer he had written into the wall and joined a rabbi in praying for peace.
As the Illinois senator stood at the wall, a protesting worshipper chanted: "Obama, Jerusalem is not for sale."
In fact Obama is known to favour the Israeli claim to the holy city and last month said Jerusalem must be Israel's undivided capital.
Obama later apologised to the Palestinians for what he said was poor phrasing.
Israel captured Arab East Jerusalem in 1967, including the Old City where the Western Wall is situated, but Palestinians still want it to be the capital of a future state.
Obama assured Israel and its American Jewish supporters on Wednesday he was a friend who would not press for concessions in peace talks with Palestinians that would compromise its security.
Mr Obama has now flown to Germany where he will appear in front of the public to give an outdoor address at the Victory Column.
His speech is tipped to be highly popular and should draw many German supporters.

No protesters here.
Just watched Obama’s speech in Germany. Dont normally listern to speeches. Must say it was the finest speech since the 1960s. And all without reading a script. May he be protected.

Obama attracts protestor at Jewish holy place
It is too much to hope, When will people step up and think of how it feels from learning that the Holy land shines from the heart of our expansive imagination. This picture lights up delicious colors and sounds that make you think beyond the limits of our sense of the countless stars and atoms. This is the True holy land which flows from living the word which has moved on to conquer Life, it was for this reason he had to die, he had to die in such a public way that nobody really deny that he had died. With this death so did the chains die around Jerusalem. So now Jerusalem is found in our hearts, alive and free. free to soar to a new dimension of God experience. So let go, let go of the sand, that piece of blood stained dirt.. let it slip through your fingers while you sail in on the wind.
